I think the plugs in my bug were put in those heads back in 2002. it wont hit a lick.I think it's something with frequency.but i aint no exspurt. the only thing I ever had any issue with was my YZ 250 yamaha 2 stroke. they seem to last for EVER and.seem to ALWAYS MISSISS A used over a hundrad sets in oh somany engines supercharged¬. nothing works for everythng and everything dosent work for any thing I just use platinum plugs in my stuff. My engine runs fine with a coathanger for a coil wire.įor race apps they sell conventional design plugs with silver electrodes, supplied to Nology long before they had an american arm, turns out. MUST all start the same with a conventional plug? with all ignition systems.at all compression levels.and under all timing conditions.both lean burn and rich burn. So.you are saying that since YOUR engine starts and runs fine with a conventional plug.that all cars.in all conditions.with all fuels.at all rpm ranges.and all ambient temp ranges. Posted: Wed 5:09 pm Post subject: Re: brisk spark plugs, any info on them? Which plug were you using in your Corrado? Ray The platinum/platinum plugs are used almost exclusively on turocharged and supercharged cars because they have a very high heat handling ability. This plug is a double platinum aning thin wire platinum center electrode and.a platinum side electrode.and it does have a side electrode. How so? The correct stock ppug for the G60 corrado is a Bosch WR6DP0. Posted: Wed 5:04 pm Post subject: Re: brisk spark plugs, any info on them? Bosch platinum's went a day and a half and the center electrode was gone.

Conventional plugs lasted 2 to 3 weeks before the outside electrode burnt off. My street engine had 9/1 C/R and 15 psi boost. My race engine is 12.5:1 and it starts and runs fine with conventional plugs Posted: Wed 4:10 pm Post subject: Re: brisk spark plugs, any info on them? I wonder if the lack of ground side electrode would eliminate a possible hot spot for detonation to start on high C/R or boosted engines?Ĭan't see them doing much for a stock engine though. Similar as well to the stationary natural gas engines in the "patch" around here.

Interesting! Similar in a way to the VW Corrodo plugs I had the best luck with in my turboed engine. Posted: Wed 3:56 pm Post subject: Re: brisk spark plugs, any info on them? I never seen any communist spark plugs before around here. Posted: Wed 2:47 am Post subject: Re: brisk spark plugs, any info on them? kinda what i thought, as mentioned in my OP. Posted: Wed 12:01 am Post subject: Re: brisk spark plugs, any info on them? Salt's for racin', asphalts for gettin' there. Electricity will ALWAYS take the path of least resistance, a bright shiny new plug might make 3 sparks but after a while it'll be down to 1 due to combustion residue. I've installed fancy plugs in all sorts of engines for customers, none of them did much and some even ran worse. Notice the Precise Fuel/Air Management - carbs and point distributors need not apply. If one does not fail at times, then one has not challenged himself. anybody ever tried them / has anything to say about them?

Never heard about them before, what makes me wonder. roughly $70 for a set sounded like rip off. what somehow sparked (no pun intended) my interest was the fact, them claiming to basically providing 2 and even 3 sparks per cycle. Now, i am everything but a spark plug expert. I think it was sth about vw ac engines in planes bringing me there. I came across brisk spark plugs the other day, while surfing around the net for general bug stuff. Posted: Tue 9:21 pm Post subject: brisk spark plugs, any info on them?
